CHARITY GOLF MARATHON

Nightee Night : T’amigos raise over £1300 for Cancer in Rain drenched Golf Marathon.
Three brave Fife golfers tackled the elements on Friday to raise over £1,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support. Paul Christie (32) , Ross Bradley (33) and Farrell Dewar (34) from Fife teamed up to take up the challenge of 72 holes of golf to be completed in a single day in order to raise funds for the charity after friends and family of the team were affected by cancer.
Paul, from Cairneyhill now lives near Dublin and flew home especially to take part and Ross, also originally from Cairneyhill made his way from his home in Montrose. Farrell had much less of a journey from Cowdenbeath. The weather was against them from the start, teeing off for the first round at 5.30am. A wet and weary 72 holes later, the team completed the challenge at 6pm.
The event took place at Muckhart Golf Course where the club supported the team throughout the day and kept them in high spirits with members of the club even joining the trio for a few holes. A rain drenched Farrell said yesterday “ The weather was horrendous but we’ve all lost friends and family recently to cancer and that got us through , we’re delighted to have raised over our target of £1,000 for Macmillan and hopefully through the web site www.JustGiving,.com/teams/t-amigos we’ll raise even more.”
